Preschool Open Gym is a wonderful place for little ones (5 years old and under) to explore, climb, jump, and play. We are open every weekday from 10:00-11:00 AM. You decide what day works for you (or come every day!). One parent or caretaker must accompany their child and watch out for them in the gym. Miss Callie sets up amazing obstacle courses and activities with plenty of opportunities to get comfortable on beams, bars, and other equipment just their size. Come run on the Tumbl Trak, jump in the foam pit, play with the balls and scarves – and hopefully get tired out for a solid nap. It’s a great place for parents to meet each other, too.
Please click on the link above to see the Open Gym Calendar that shows how many spots are left on each day of open gym. We put a strict limit on the number of kids to make sure it does not get overcrowded and all children will be safe.
Recreational Open Gym is a perfect time for kids and teens (6 - 17 years old) to play and practice lower level gymnastics skills in the recreational gym.
Recreational Open Gym is self-directed. It is not a class but rather a great time for gymnasts to practice skills they have learned already with a coach and can safely do without a spot. If your child is independent, you may drop off and pick up your gymnast when open gym ends. Please make sure we have your cell phone number on file in case we need to reach you.
1) NO FLIPPING, NO HIGH BARS, NO HIGH BEAM, NO PIT BAR, and only ONE person at a time in the pit or on the Tumbl Trak.
2) No food or drink besides water is allowed in the gym.
3) Wear appropriate athletic attire. No baggy clothes, skirts, buttons, buckles, zippers, dangling jewelry, socks or shoes in the gym.
4) Gymnasts should communicate to make sure everyone knows whose turn it is.
5) Always try to land on your feet!
6) Open gym is for working on skills you already know. Do not experiment with brand new skills that your regular coach hasn’t introduced to you yet. Do the skill with the same set-up and spot that you have done in class (if you need a spot from your coach in class, it’s not ready for open gym).
7) It’s OK to take videos/photos during open gym. If you are planning to post these on social media, please make sure that you are the only one in the frame when recording. Some of our gymnasts prefer not to be featured on social media.
8) Absolutely no roughhousing.
9) To keep everyone safe, our open gym supervisor will ask anyone choosing unsafe behaviors to stop on the first occasion this happens. If the unsafe behavior persists, the participant will be asked to leave the gym without refund.
10) Ask the open gym supervisor for help if you want to change settings or move equipment!
11) Please clean up after yourself - return mats and accessories to where you found them when open gym started.
12) Have fun!
Please click on the link above to see the Open Gym Calendar and register ahead of time. The calendar shows how many spots are left at each open gym. We limit the number of available spots so that it does not get overcrowded and everyone will be safe.
Adult Open Gym is for adults (18+ years) to practice their gymnastics skills in the recreational gym. Gymnasts are expected to have safety in mind as they work on familiar skills.
Would you like to be coached? Please sign up for our adult class on Monday nights, or a drop-in class!
Adult Drop-In class: We offer individual, drop-in classes on Monday nights where you can join the regular adult class for the evening. The price per class is $44, which is the same price for students enrolled in the adult class. This is a great option for someone who is unable to commit to the regular class every week, or for someone who is on a wait list for the regular adult class. We open spots for drop-in students when enrolled students have planned absences. You can register for a drop-in class on our events calendar, which you can get to by clicking on the pink "Register for Open Gym" button at the top of the page.
This is an actual class, unlike Adult Open Gym. Our experienced coaches lead the class, providing instruction from beginner to experienced adult gymnasts. After warm-up and stretching we spend our time working on skills as a group, focusing on safety and teaching skill progressions. Our coaches listen to the goals and motivations of the gymnasts and lead them through the gymnastics journey they are choosing as adults.
